Meet the Doctor

Born in Wisconsin and raised in the Northland, Dr. Patrick Hickman knew early on that he was going to be a Chiropractor. A persistent sports injury that responded to chiropractic care made a lasting impression. “Restoring health, vitality, and motion without drugs or surgery was both simple and profound”, he recalls. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Chemistry from UW-River Falls, he went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Northwestern University in Minneapolis. Dr. Hickman began his practice in Ashland in 1990 and is very pleased to call this area home. Continuing Education courses he has completed include Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Sports and Work-Related Injuries. Dr. Hickman and his wife have six children and enjoy the beauty of the Chequamegon Bay area and all it has to offer.

Sharon Hacker

One of the first things you'll notice when you meet Sharon is the cordial welcome and warm greeting she gives to everyone who walks through the door!

A graduate of Bayfield High School (back when she was Sharon Goldman) she left this rural area to exchange life on the farm for college life in the Windy City. After attending Chicago's Amundson Junior College, Sharon married and raised nine children. She is now a Grandmother of eleven and a Great Grandmother of two--with more to come!

Given her cheery and helpful nature, it's no surprise that she won numerous honors and awards throughout her 30 years in Motel Management. This career gave Sharon the opportunity to travel, live in four different states and become accustomed to a busy lifestyle.

After transferring back to our area in 1999, she joined the Hickman Chiropractic team on February 1, 2000.

Sharon leads an active life with church, a passion for gardening and the joy of living near her Mother, Sisters and their expanding families.
